Windows warning when you download or install?

That’s expected, and your download is fine. Because Macro Studio is independent software and every release is brand-new, Windows (SmartScreen) — and occasionally antivirus tools like McAfee — may not recognize it yet. You may see “isn’t commonly downloaded” while the file is downloading, or an “unrecognized app” message when you install it. Both warnings fade on their own as more people install each release.

Every download is code-signed by Macro Studio and available only from this page, so as long as you downloaded it here, follow these steps to install it:

• Browser says “isn’t commonly downloaded”: open your Downloads list (Ctrl + J), hover the blocked file, click the … menu and choose Keep. On the box that follows, click the small arrow on the Delete button and choose Keep anyway.
• “Windows protected your PC” when installing: click More info, then Run anyway. The publisher line shows the full certificate details and must include Macro Studio — if it doesn’t, don’t run it, tell us instead.
• McAfee / antivirus: choose Keep or Allow (or restore the file from your download history).
